We see the benefit of career progression but are conscious of ‘the Peter principle’ where people rise to “their level incompetence.” A good performance in one role does not guarantee a similar performance in the next unless prepared for the role, so training is key. Our Managing director loves telling job applicants ‘if you join us the one thing I can guarantee is that you will leave with a far better skill set’.

Birthdays

We acknowledge that your birthday is a day of celebration, not work. Therefore we give every employee that has been with us for longer than 6 months, the day off, with full pay and no impact on holiday entitlement.

Subscriptions

Your Dawsongroup is an online portal, which gives access to discounts and savings. Plus, this scheme gives information and options on company benefits. We also have a 'cycle to work' scheme, which gives you discount on bikes and cycling gear, saving you money and helping the environment.

Training

We love to invest in our staff. We take on new apprentices each year, pay for external training courses, plus Dawsongroup runs an ILM approved training course to develop your careers for both a better understanding of business and yourself. If you need additional training, we will also pay and organise training programmes as required.

Social Events

While working at Dawsongroup, you are invited to all the events that are put on by our social committee. They put on 3 or 4 events a year, ranging from paintballing to go-karting to a day at the horses. We try to and be as varied as possible so that there is something for everyone.

Service Awards

Here at Dawsongroup, we recognise how vital our staff are to the business. We understand the contribution of the team, so we reward our staff at five year intervals.

Holidays

At Dawsongroup we recognise the need to find the right work life balance, this is why for our full time employees we offer 24 days paid holiday, rewards for long term service and we allow our employees to buy more holidays if they need them.
