Celebrating Success at the Festival Supplier Awards 2024

The Festival Supplier Awards 2024 was a spectacular event. Held at the Hurlingham Club, London, it celebrated outdoor events and all the fantastic suppliers and production teams who deliver them. Dawsongroup tcs was privileged to attend the event having been shortlisted in four different categories.

Showcasing Innovation

There was stiff competition from well-known names across the event industry, including illumin8, NoNonsense Group, and Qdos Event Hire and Dawsongroup tcs is proud to be one of them. The innovative Temp°store was the focus of Dawsongroup’s entry into the Best Bespoke/Unique Structure category as well as Best Plant and Equipment Hire, whilst its excellent service provision was the basis for entry into the Best Support Service award. Tcs was also shortlisted for the Best Supplier Award.

“The Festival Supplier Awards was a great evening celebrating all elements of the festival events industry at a fabulous venue,” said Kurtis Osborne, Head of Business Development for Dawsongroup tcs. “It is brilliant to have made the shortlist of nominations for four awards and congratulations to all the winners!”

Joining the tcs team as their guest was Holley Wilkinson, Account Executive for StandOut Multimedia. With years of experience in the event industry, Holley manages Dawsongroup’s account at StandOut Magazine and assisted the team with publishing our latest article in their February edition.

“It was a pleasure to be invited to attend the Festival Supplier Awards last week with the Dawsongroup team,” said Holley. “It’s been great to work with the team to get Dawsongroup into the spotlight of the events industry, showcasing their innovative structure.”

Celebrating and Connecting

Representing tcs at the awards were Rod Benham, Managing Director; Chris Allen, General Manager Tectoniks; Kurtis Osborne, Head of Business Development; Sam Weedop, Inflatable Products & DGPCC Coordinator; Emma Ieong, Marketing Executive; Alexandra Pierce, Researcher Placement Student; and Rae Dillon, Group Copywriter.

Everyone agreed it was an excellent event in a wonderful location and the perfect opportunity to connect with people across the industry. Although tcs didn’t take home any awards on this occasion, being shortlisted in four categories was testament to the progress the business has made in the short time it has been part of the events sector.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the evening,” said Sam. “It was good to find out more about the industry and the businesses within it as Dawsongroup tcs begins to work more within this sector going forwards. To be nominated shows we are working in the right direction as we look ahead to the years to come.”

“The event was lovely,” said Alexandra. “It was a great opportunity for Dawsongroup tcs to get to know other companies, both competitors and potential customers. Hopefully tcs will be able to work with more companies on the guestlist in the future.”

The Future Is Eventful

At the end of the evening, Rod shared his thoughts on the event. “Two years ago, I would never have imagined we’d be where we are. We’ve only been in the events industry for about 18 months, so it’s fantastic to be shortlisted in four categories the first time we’ve entered the awards. We should all be very proud of where we’ve got to.”

Following on from the awards, Dawsongroup tcs is offering the innovative Temp°store to events across the country, providing customers with unrivalled service and a unique structure.

“Attending the Festival Supplier Awards made me more aware of how big the event business is,” said Chris. “It also gave me the opportunity to make some great contacts. Now on to more events to make our name in the industry. We have lots planned for this year, including the Fyne Ales Festival, Bearded Theory Festival, and GlastonBARRY.”
